Keiser University’s Associate of Science degree in Medical Assisting Science prepares students to perform various clinical duties including taking patient histories, measuring vital signs, assisting physicians with examinations, giving injections as directed by the physician, venipuncture, performing CLIA waived laboratory tests, and performing electrocardiograms (ECG). In addition, students will learn clerical and administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and preparing insurance claims.

Keiser University’s Associate of Science degree in Radiation Therapy prepares students for entry-level positions in the profession, using ionizing-radiation producing equipment to administer therapeutic doses of radiation as prescribed by physicians for treatment of disease — generally cancer. The program’s graduates are eligible to take the national certification examination administered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and are eligible for licensure by the State of Florida to practice Radiation Therapy. The Radiation Therapy program strives to instill the values and concepts of life-long learning in its graduates.

Looking for a degree in Dietetics and Nutrition? The nutrition and dietetics profession has moved to a master’s requirement for eligibility to sit for the Registered Dietitian Nutritionist National Registration exam. The Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition Coordinated Program offers two routes to becoming a Registered Dietician Nutritionist:
1) A start-to-finish nutrition and dietetics degree that makes graduates eligible for the credentialing exam.
2) Lower-division courses and the clinical experience necessary for individuals who already have a master’s degree to become eligible for the credentialing exam.

The Keiser University Graduate Master of Science in Nutrition with Distance Learning Internship (KU-MS/DI) combined program with a concentration area of Community Nutrition is rigorous and fast-paced. The coursework is designed to allow interns to complete their supervised practice requirements in their geographic area. Interns will be able to use local sites and preceptors to complete their rotations.

The program integrates research, pathophysiology, pharmacology, health assessment, general principles of anesthesia, and anesthesia for surgical procedures for application in the clinical setting.

Keiser University’s Graduate Business Certificate Programs educate students in the theories and practices of the business world. The certificate programs are geared toward students who want to learn the foundational skills in a particular field or those who want to build upon their existing senior-level experience to advance their career in one of the subject areas. The courses in each of the areas can be applied toward an MBA degree for candidates who meet admissions criteria.
