Keiser University is working diligently to assist students in attaining their higher education goals during unprecedented financial challenges associated with COVID-19. H.R. 748, The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act makes provision for limited grant aid to Keiser University students who demonstrate emergency financial need directly attributable to the COVID-19 crisis.
Full-time and part-time undergraduate and graduate degree-seeking Keiser University students enrolled on March 13, 2020, and who have completed a FAFSA, are eligible to receive a grant through the CARES Act initiative. Priority for Initial Grant aid is placed on students with highest economic need as indicated by their EFC. Students with an EFC of greater than $15,000 will not receive an Initial Grant; they may, however, receive subsequent grants in two additional opportunities, CARES Grants II and CARES Grants III.
CARES Act grants will be issued in three phases.
Phase 1 – Initial Grants
Initial grants will be automatically awarded to eligible students and delivered to students by May 25, 2020. No application is required to receive grants under Phase 1.
Phase II – CARES Grants II
The second round of grants will be awarded with lesser amounts and in a similar fashion as Initial Grants. Distribution dates will be posted on this page once the dates are determined so please check back for details.
Phase III – CARES Grants III
The third and final round of grants will also be awarded in a similar fashion as Initial Grants. Distribution dates will be posted on this page once the dates are determined so please check back for details.
Please make sure to review the Policy and FAQ pages to determine eligibility and apply for emergency funding.
