Fort Lauderdale, Florida – Keiser University Vice Chancellor Belinda Keiser was again recognized as one of Florida’s most influential business leaders when recently included among Florida Trend’s prestigious 2024 Florida 500.
Produced annually by Florida Trend Magazine, the Florida 500 includes the most influential executives throughout the state. Representing a variety of economic sectors, the list is compiled by Florida Trend editors using an intensive year-long research initiative that focuses on the impact the Florida 500 honorees have made beyond their companies with a high focus on community service and philanthropy.
Those included in the Florida 500 are individuals whom others in their communities or industry sectors turn to for leadership or who set a standard for best practices.
Included as part of the prestigious group for the second year in a row, Keiser has devoted her career to advancing Florida’s economy and workforce development, education, and healthcare communities. As leader of Keiser University’s public relations, government relations, and student services departments she has been an advocate for social mobility, accessibility to higher education, and talent development for more than 40 years.
During her tenure, Keiser University has grown into Florida’s largest, private, not-for-profit university, serving 20,000 students at 21 Florida campuses, online, and internationally. Through her leadership, which includes the development of a statewide task force focused on developing solutions to Florida’s growing nursing shortage, Keiser continues to serve Florida students, families, and employers as a state and national leader in nursing graduate production.
Keiser established the Keiser Mills Foundation, which provides unique scholarship and learning opportunities to students seeking international, entrepreneurial, leadership, and civic engagement experiences as part of their college education. The foundation has awarded more than $72 million update in scholarships to needs-based and academically deserving students.
Keiser is a member of the Florida Children and Youth Cabinet and the Florida Commission on the Status of Women. She is a former member of the Board of Directors for Enterprise Florida, the State’s primary economic development board, and Space Florida the aerospace economic development agency for the State of Florida. In 2016, Belinda Keiser was entered into the Congressional Record in Recognition of Women’s History Month by Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart for her work in the areas of education, public service, and philanthropy.
Joining Keiser on the Florida 500 are 26 other educational industry leaders from Florida’s public and private universities, K-12 public and private schools, and educational foundations. Keiser University Chancellor Arthur Keiser was previously included in the Florida 500 as one of 208 Florida 500 Living Legends in 2020.
Keiser University is a private, independent, non-profit university serving nearly 20,000 students at 21 Florida campuses, online, and two international sites.
