You want to push your accounting career to the ultimate level, for example, with a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation. But it takes more than a bachelor’s degree and work experience to get there. It takes 120 hours of post-secondary education credit to even sit for the CPA exam in Florida, and another 30 to obtain the designation after passing all four parts of the CPA exam. Keiser University’s Master of Accountancy degree was developed with professional certification in mind, focusing on the practices of accounting. The MAcc program helps accountants develop advanced critical thinking and research skills to communicate accounting issues with clarity to different audiences. Students of this graduate-level accounting program will also explore ethical and professional standards, fraud, auditing, financial reporting, data analytics, and taxation.

What Can You Expect to Learn

Keiser University’s Master of Accountancy enables students to contribute to the accounting profession through independent learning, scholarship, and research. Upon completion of this Florida MAcc program, students will be able to:

Program Prerequisites

  • Relevant accountancy bachelor’s degree or business bachelor’s degree with upper division accounting coursework from an accredited institution.
  • Candidates with bachelor’s degrees outside of accounting (or business with upper-division accounting classes) must take additional accounting prerequisite courses.

GMAT waiver available.

To receive a Master of Accountancy, students must earn 36 graduate semester credit hours. Curriculum coursework includes:
